We do our job best by getting to know every child who walks through our doors. Each child has a unique personality, along with their own interests, fears, and sensitivities. Taking the time to understand these needs helps us build trust and create a more comfortable, personalized visit. Your kiddo has a unique personality with their own interests, fears, and triggers. Meet Dr. Naomi
A Favorite Pediatric Dentist for Darien Families
Dr. Naomi Sedani became a pediatric dentist and opened Lil' Dente Pediatric Dentistry of Darien to make a lasting difference in children's lives. As an undergraduate student at Wellesley College, she volunteered on international dental missions and discovered a deep passion for children's oral health. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with honors in community health and research. She then completed her pediatric dentistry residency at NYU Langone Health in Brooklyn.
After beginning her career in Connecticut, Dr. Naomi brought her vision for Lil’ Dente Pediatric Dentistry to life. The practice reflects her belief that children deserve a dental office where they can experience comfort, joy, and the feeling of being excited to return. Lil' Dente Pediatric Dentistry of Darien is an extension of her joy and belief of creating a place where your kiddo can experience joy, comfort and the "can't wait to come back feeling" at the pediatric dentist office in Darien.

Meet Dr. Ziyad Effendi
A Favorite Pediatric Dentist for Darien Families
Dr. Ziyad Effendi became a pediatric dentist because he believes every child deserves a dental visit filled with smiles rather than stress. His passion for healthcare and working with children made pediatric dentistry a natural fit.
After earning his dental degree, Dr. Ziyad completed advanced training in pediatric dentistry. His experience includes routine dental care, helping nervous children feel comfortable, and supporting patients with special healthcare needs. His goal is to create positive visits and healthy smiles that can last a lifetime.

Meet Dr. Jonathan Laurent
A Favorite Pediatric Dentist for Darien Families
Dr. Jonathan Laurent was inspired to become a pediatric dentist after a childhood accident broke his two front teeth. Seeing how skillfully his dentist restored his smile motivated him to help other children protect theirs. He enjoys working with children and teaching families healthy habits that support strong teeth and gums.
Dr. “L” earned his dental degree from Howard University and completed both his general dentistry and pediatric dentistry residencies at BronxCare Health System in the Bronx, New York. Before joining Lil’ Dente Pediatric Dentistry in Darien, he practiced in New York and Connecticut. Outside the office, he enjoys playing video games, traveling with his wife, discovering new cultures, and trying new foods.

Beatrice is a recent college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in health science from CUNY York College. She is passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in her community. Fun fact: Beatrice is a foodie who enjoys listening to music and taking long drives.
Charlie
This good boy has been by Dr. Naomi’s side since she applied to dental school. Fun fact: Charlie is working on his oral health—he doesn’t like brushing his teeth!
